My Life

I seem to have used to have had more to say – in general and more frequently.  Maybe it comes from being as old as I am and having fallen so short from achieving my former dreams and goals.  I accept much responsibility for this, largely comprised of procrastination; choosing comfort over work, pain, discomfort, and accomplishment, but I also hold a sizable number of others accountable.  They've blocked, prevented, and sabotaged opportunities I otherwise might have had. They've ranged from having done so out of simply mindless ignorance to actually having actively, intentionally fought me; often in ways I haven’t even been aware of.  So, yes, I shoulder considerable resentments. But, in regard to them, my shoulders are broad, and I have even more strength and endurance than my burdens require.  So, the overall quality of my life is far short of what it otherwise would have been, but I also have many and substantial good things.  Among these are a good head on my shoulders; great kids, wife, mother, dog; a large share of physical comforts and pleasures; and a life of many, varied, and substantial experiences.  I neither thank nor curse.

Good riddance, Sarah Palin!

Sarah Palin is collapsing. She’s had it. She’s always been all packaging and no substance. Now, everyone is finally seeing it for that. She has always been a paper tiger, and now she is gone. Good riddance!

Yes, it's all about me

I'm now following my own blog. I wonder what I'll say next.

It Looks Like We Made It

It appears that we have reached a critical turning point in our (social human) history. Nazi tactics, for once and for all, don’t work. We (a critical mass of us) have intellectually evolved past falling for them. If anything good could have come out of the world-War-II-Era Holocaust, it was that it was a major step toward inoculation/immunity against such violent, intimidation, terroristic tactics. Yes, there have been tragic and discouraging backslides since then (since, for-the-most- part-victory of World War II). For example, the assassinations of JFK, Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy, John Lennon, and 9/11. But now, with the election of Barack Obama and the passage of the “Healthcare Reform Bill”, despite crazy Naziish attacks and threats from the lunatic right, it, indeed, appears that such insanity just isn’t even close to being part of the Mainstream nor any threat to real progress. And, consequently, such twisted tactics will just die and go away, completely.

Yoo, Bibey, and Karma

Yoo and Bibey - No whitewashing of their heinous crimes against humanity will diminish the extreme heinosity of them one iota. Veritable exoneration by cowardly and/or corrupt current Obama cronies will do nothing to obscure or at all lessen the harshest of judgment meted in the eyes of those of us who see, clearly, what Truth is, for all time. I believe that the most “evil” and sociopathic among us, which undoubtedly Yoo and Bibey are in the ranks of, underneath, in their most buried subconscious have a “subconscience”, and know, on the most self-obfuscated level, that they are, alas, who they are, and the true revilent nature of what they have done. Thus, ultimate “karma” and justice exist and prevail. Without attributing it to a “God”-type being, I do believe in ultimate justice or karma in the universe, so that they who do wrong eventually are commensurately and appropriately punished, although I still can’t reconcile this belief with why those of us who do or at least attempt and intend good ever have to suffer as we do, even often way beyond what makes the slightest sense.
